The 2nd annual Free virtual workshop, “The Wait is Over: How to Manifest Your God-Given Desires Through Intentional Prayer.” is happening this week; I thought it fit to add to The Waiting Season Series. You can read the first post: The Waiting Season: Are You Doing it Wrong?

This Workshop has already happened. Join the mailing list to be notified of the next One HERE.

In the journey of faith, waiting on God can be one of the most challenging aspects of our walk. During seasons of waiting, our faith is truly tested, and we may find ourselves growing weary. If you’re tired, frustrated, or discouraged while waiting, know that you’re not alone. God sees your heart, and He understands the desires within it.

As Christian women, we often encounter various seasons of waiting:

Waiting for direction

Waiting for an answer

Waiting for a husband

Waiting on a career

Waiting on a financial breakthrough

Waiting to be healed

Waiting on the fulfillment of promises God has spoken.

In these moments, it’s easy to become disheartened and wonder if God has forgotten us. However, let me encourage you today: God’s timing is perfect, and His plans for your life are beyond your understanding.

  1. Trust in His Sovereignty:

In Proverbs 3:5-6, we are reminded to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is impeccable.
  2. Develop a Heart of Gratitude:

While waiting, it’s crucial to maintain a heart of gratitude. Take time to reflect on the blessings in your life, the answered prayers, and the moments where God has shown His faithfulness. Gratitude shifts our focus from what we lack to what we have, fostering a spirit of contentment and joy.
  3. Seek His Presence:

Use this waiting season as an opportunity to draw closer to God. Spend time in prayer, meditate on His Word, and seek His presence. In the stillness, you may discover that God is shaping and molding you for the plans He has in store.
  4. Find Strength in Community:

Surround yourself with fellow believers who can uplift and encourage you during times of waiting. Share your struggles and victories, and let the love of Christ flow through the bonds of sisterhood. Together, we can find strength in unity. Join our Private Facebook community HERE
  5. Remember His Promises:

God’s promises are true and unchanging. As you wait, hold onto the promises found in Scripture. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God has plans to prosper us and give us hope and a future. Let His promises be an anchor for your soul during the waiting.

Listen, waiting on God may be challenging, but it is also a season of growth, refinement, and preparation. Trust that God is orchestrating a beautiful masterpiece in your life. Embrace the waiting with faith, knowing that the God who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6).

And, remember, you don’t have to sit around waiting. In fact, you shouldn’t be ‘just waiting,’ there are things you can do right now to move you closer to your desires.
