Have you ever felt like God was calling you to something greater, but fear, doubt, or distractions held you back? This year, God is inviting you into a season of obedience—a time where saying ‘yes’ to His will is the key to unlocking new levels of purpose, blessings, and spiritual growth.

If you attended The Wait Over Workshop: “How to Align with God & Activate Your Best Life. I talked about how my word for the season is obedience. I talked about how the word can sometimes make me nervous because obedience is not always easy, especially when it’s tied to God elevating you to the next level. I recently wrote a blog about it, too.

One thing God is asking of me this season is to get in front of the camera. Listen, I have been running from the camera for YEARS! HA! However, this year, the tug is strong to get out of my comfort zone and go to the next level in God.

So, I ask you….What is God asking of YOU in this season?

Your next level is directly tied to your obedience. God has doors prepared for you, but they will only open when you take the step of faith He’s calling you to. The enemy would love to keep you stuck in hesitation, but God is calling you higher!

Here are 4 steps to walk in obedience in this season and step into your elevation:

1. Seek God First

Before making any decisions, bring everything to God in prayer. Surrender your plans and desires to Him, trusting He will guide your steps.

Scripture: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33

2. Trust God’s Timing

Obedience sometimes means waiting. If God has given you a promise, trust that He will fulfill it in His perfect timing. Delayed obedience is still disobedience, so remain faithful even when it feels like nothing is happening.

Scripture: “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come.” — Habakkuk 2:3

3. Let Go of Fear and Doubt

Fear will always try to keep you from stepping into God’s plans. But remember, God does not give a spirit of fear—He gives power, love, and a sound mind. Your obedience may be uncomfortable, but on the other side of it is your breakthrough.

Scripture: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

4. Take Action in Faith

Faith requires movement. If God has told you to start the business, write the book, launch the ministry, or take a step into the unknown—do it! Partial obedience is still disobedience. God blesses those who walk in faith, not just those who think about it.

Scripture: “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” — James 1:22

Alright, I’ve put it out there in the open that I’m so supposed to get in front of the camera this year. That probably sounds silly for those who’ve attended my virtual workshops because I am in front of the camera there. However, I’m talking specifically about making videos and doing LIVES with the word that the Lord has given me and not just writing them in a blog post. Whew! Hold me accountable, sis. Here is the link to my Youtube channel.

I ask again, What is God asking of you in this season?

Drop a “YES, LORD” in the comments if you’re ready to walk in obedience this year! Let’s go higher together!
