If you haven’t already, check out last week’s post: MAY You Manifest {Intentional Prayer} Part I

There is something powerful about putting our thoughts and ideas down on paper. Whether it be your prayers, your dreams/goals, or that “to-do” list. You do not have to be a seasoned writer to reap the benefits either. In fact, Habakkuk 2:2 states, “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it” (Habakkuk 2:2).

“Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it” (Habakkuk 2:2).

This powerful scripture reminds us of the importance of having a clear vision for our lives, and writing it helps us to stay focused and committed. Writing the vision is a powerful tool for achieving our goals and aspirations and can also be a catalyst for activating our faith. When we write the vision, we declare our intentions to God and demonstrate our trust and belief in Him to guide us. Also, we now have a record of when and how God has answered in the past.
It’s not enough to simply have a vague idea of what we want to achieve – we need to be specific, intentional, and strategic in our pursuit of living our best life through Him. That is how we get from waiting to enjoy our lives to living our best life TODAY.
That is why I am a huge advocate for journaling. Journaling has long been a popular practice for recording our daily experiences, but it can also be a powerful tool for our spiritual growth. In particular, journaling our prayers and dreams can help us to deepen our relationship with God, clarify our thoughts and desires, and stay focused on our goals and aspirations.

Journaling Our Visions and Prayers Has Several Benefits.

  1. Deepens Our Connection With God: journaling our prayers and dreams can help us to connect more deeply with God. By recording our prayers on paper, we are able to express our thoughts and feelings in a more tangible way, and reflect more deeply on our relationship with God. It also helps us to track how God has been faithful in our lives and the prayers He has answered.
  2. It Brings Clarity: When we journal our prayers and dreams, we are forced to think about them more deeply and articulate them in a way that is specific and actionable. This can help us to stay focused and to take practical steps towards achieving them.
  3. It Tracks Our Progress: Journaling our prayers and dreams can help us to track our progress and growth. By recording our prayers and dreams over time, we can see how our thoughts and desires have evolved and how we have grown in our faith and understanding of God’s plan for our lives.
  4. A Form of Self-Care & Personal Reflection: Journaling our prayers and dreams can be a form of self-care and personal reflection. Taking time to sit down with a journal and record our thoughts and prayers can be a calming and centering experience. It can also help us to process our emotions and feelings in a healthy way, and to gain greater clarity and perspective on our lives and relationships.
  5. Its Tangible Reminder: Journaling our prayers and dreams gives us a tangible reminder of what we are working towards. We can refer to our written vision whenever we need motivation or direction, and it can help us to stay on track and avoid distractions or detours along the way.
  6. It Activates our Faith: When we journal our dreams and visions, we declare our faith in God, and we demonstrate our trust and belief that our dreams and desires are possible.

Do you have a prayer and dream journal?

I created the Journey of Faith: Prayer and Dream Journal in memory of my baby girl, Journey Faith in hopes of helping other women walk through their difficult seasons. Journaling and prayer helped me to navigate grief and discover an authentic, untainted relationship with Christ. It also reminded me of my dreams and activated a stronger faith in God and His plan for my life.

So if you haven’t already done so, consider writing the vision for your life with the Journey of Faith: Prayer and Dream today. Be specific, be bold, and be true to yourself. And then, run towards your vision with determination, courage, and faith, knowing that with God, all things are possible.

Now, I want you to take your time on this next part. For each category, you are going to write down your vision. If you the Journey of Faith: Prayer an Dream Journal, there is a section for you to do that. In each category, you are going to write what you desire and then ask God how you need to pray about this. When He answers, you are going to document the answer, steps, or whatever God gives you. Okay?
