Today is National Birth Mom’s day. It is a special day for me because it if wasn’t for a brave woman making the most difficult decision of her life, I would not be a mother to a beautiful sweet little boy.

There is often a stigma against women who choose adoption. I hope to help alter that narrative to one where birth mothers are seen as brave and strong. It is brave for a woman to realize she is not ready (emotionally, financially, etc) to raise a child and decide to find a family that is. It is strong of a woman to carry a child in her womb knowing she will not raise them.

For numerous families, adoption is the only way to be parents. We do not take lightly that the day of our greatest joy is another’s day of greatest sorrow.
